Where the evidence goes

A Resolver record answers what is published now. LedgerCore answers the other question — what was published before, what changed it, and on what date — as retained evidence entries. Eligible evidence about an identity is anchored to Microsoft Azure Confidential Ledger, a permissioned, append-only ledger built on blockchain technology.

The doctrine

Evidence, not verdict

ECZ-ID records what was declared and observed about an identity, and when. It does not decide whether a device is safe, secure, correct or approved, and it never has. Evidence is presented as dated, referenced observations you can re-check yourself against the Resolver — the only authority on any ECZ-ID's current public state.

Entries are sparse by design: decisive lifecycle transitions — issuance, activation, material bindings, authority changes, suspension and revocation — and not a continuous record of anything. No telemetry is written to the ledger, ever.

That sparseness is the point. A device produces an enormous amount of data and almost none of it is a statement about identity. What belongs here are the transitions a reader would want to see stated once, with a date, by the organisation that operates the thing.

The ledger

Permissioned, append-only, and named

Eligible evidence is anchored to Microsoft Azure Confidential Ledger — the ledger the estate's own record already names as ecozledger.

What an anchor establishes

That an entry has not been altered since it was written. The chain is append-only and hash-chained, and that is the whole of the integrity claim.

What it does not establish

That the statement inside the entry is true. An anchor is about the record of a claim, never about the claim.

Where an evidence report is generated, chain continuity is verified at that moment and the result is stated in the report — including when the result is a break.

Entries are written and counted today. Public retrieval of an individual receipt is not open yet, so this page does not offer a link to fetch one.

What this is not

“Blockchain” is the word on this page most likely to be read as something it is not, so the denials sit beside it rather than in small print.

No cryptocurrency, no token and no wallet. Nothing here is tradeable and nothing is issued as an asset.
It is not a public chain. The ledger is permissioned and operated in Microsoft Azure; this is not a distributed-consensus claim and not a decentralisation claim.
Not every event. Eligible evidence is anchored — the record says which, per identity — and a record that carries no anchor is not a fault.
The chain is append-only and hash-chained. That means an entry has not been altered since it was written. It does not make the statement inside that entry true, and it is not a verdict about any device.
Individual receipt retrieval is not open yet. There is no route to fetch one today, so this site offers no link that pretends otherwise.

Reporting is not something this site offers, sells or schedules. Where evidence is presented back to anyone, the statement below travels with it.

This report describes evidence recorded by ECZ-ID for the period stated. It is not a certification, approval, audit opinion or compliance verdict. The Resolver is the only authority on any ECZ-ID's current public state — re-check before reliance.

A reader checks that for themselves rather than trusting it: the Resolver human route and the machine record are public, free and need no account. A report that cannot be re-checked without trusting the report is not evidence.
