PulseGuard

Know the current state of the ECZ-ID entities you operate.

PulseGuard evaluates current observable state and helps an operator see which ECZ-ID entities need attention without turning an observation into a safety or certification claim.

The problem

Why it matters.

A connected product's public record goes stale quietly: documentation moves, a binding stops matching, the evidence an operator published ages past the point anyone should rely on it. Without a current-state reading, the first sign is a buyer, retailer or reviewer asking why the record no longer matches the product in front of them.

Built for

  • Operators whose device records carry evidence that ages and documentation that moves.
  • Manufacturers who want to know which product records need attention before a buyer does.
  • Reviewers who need to know when a record's evidence was last current.

What changes

  • Faster detection of state that deserves review.
  • A common monitoring language across all Passport families.
  • A direct path from a signal back to current Resolver proof and evidence.

What you receive

Concrete deliverables, not a vague trust score.

  • Current-state evaluations for eligible ECZ-ID entities.
  • Clear state and reason presentation rather than unexplained scores.
  • Operational views designed for human review and machine use.
  • Links back to the underlying public proof where appropriate.

How it works

A short path from need to something usable.

  1. Select the ECZ-ID entities you actively operate.

  2. PulseGuard evaluates the eligible current-state signals.

  3. Conditions that need attention are surfaced with their basis.

  4. You review the current record and decide what action, if any, to take.

How it relates to your Passport

Every free IoT Passport already gets lifecycle and current public state evaluated on demand. PulseGuard extends the same evaluation across the device records you operate and surfaces it in the Dashboard, linked back to the Resolver record. The evaluation reads what you supply; it never reaches a device.

Use cases

  • After deployment: seeing which device records carry evidence that is no longer current.
  • After a firmware release: confirming the release evidence you published reads as current.
  • Before a retailer or buyer review: finding the product records that need attention first.
  • After a change of operator: showing the new operator which evidence is current and which is not.

Privacy, security and evidence

What is collected, published and kept.

  • Every signal is supplied by the operator. ECZ-ID does not connect to your devices, does not reach your network and performs no outbound check of any kind against anything you operate.
  • A reading states what it observed and the reason for it. There is no score, no rating and no percentage, because a number invites comparison between records whose operators published different things.
  • A reading is OBSERVED, not ENFORCED: PulseGuard never blocks, approves or changes anything on a device or in your runtime.
  • Where LedgerCore is active, decisive readings can be kept as evidence.

Boundaries

The claims stop here.

  • PulseGuard reports observed state; it is not a safety verdict or certification.
  • A monitoring result never upgrades the identity or the Parent assurance tier.
  • It is not device monitoring. Nothing runs on a schedule and there is no polling interval: state is evaluated when you ask for it, or when you raise an event.
  • It is not a network probe. No outbound check against a device exists anywhere in the estate for this family.
  • It is not a scoring or rating system: no percentages, no grades and no composite indices.
  • It is not a security product. An ECZ-ID does not make a device safe, secure or correct, and it is not a test, an approval or a certificate.

Integrations and questions

Works with what you already run.

  • Dashboard: current state and reasons across your estate.
  • Resolver: every signal links back to the current public record.
  • LedgerCore: keep decisive evaluations as evidence.
Does PulseGuard connect to my devices?
No. ECZ-ID never connects to a device or reaches your network. PulseGuard evaluates the evidence you supply, when you ask for it or when you raise an event.
Is a PulseGuard result a security rating?
No. It reports observed state and its basis. It is not a safety verdict, certification or identity tier.
Does PulseGuard change my Passport?
No. A monitoring result never upgrades the identity or the Parent assurance tier.
What do free Passports get?
Lifecycle and current public state, evaluated on demand. PulseGuard extends evaluation across what you operate.
