The problem

Why it matters.

Static trust marks are copied, outdated and impossible to check. A reader who sees your connected device has no quick way to reach the record behind it.

Built for

  • Manufacturers who want a route to proof on labels, packaging and manuals.
  • Operators publishing device documentation and support pages.
  • Anyone who meets the device physically, through the QR code.

What changes

  • One click from where you are seen to where you can be checked.
  • Less identity lookup friction for customers and reviewers.
  • A badge whose state comes from the live record, not a static image.

What you receive

Concrete deliverables, not a vague trust score.

  • A live website badge, drawn from the record's current state.
  • A QR code for the same record.
  • A share link for messages, documents and product pages.

How it works

A short path from need to something usable.

  1. Hold a published Passport.

  2. Copy the badge, QR or share link from your Dashboard.

  3. Place it where your connected device is already seen.

  4. Every click resolves the current record.

How it relates to your Passport

The badge is a pointer to the Resolver. It carries no claim of its own, so it can never say more than the record does.

Use cases

  • A QR code on the device label or in the quick-start guide, resolving the current record.
  • A badge on the product page and the support documentation.
  • A share link in a retailer or procurement reply instead of an attachment.
  • A printed QR that still resolves after the device changes hands — to the same ECZ-ID.

Price

Included free, with every Passport.

£0. It is part of the free IoT Passport — permanent, not a trial, and no card is required.

After you take it

  1. TrustOps acquires

Take the free Passport in TrustOps; your organisation's ECZ-ID Business Passport — Declared — FREE is reused or created.

  2. Dashboard operates

Operate it in the Dashboard: publish, bind and copy your proof links.

  3. Resolver proves

Anyone resolves the current record on the Resolver.

Privacy, security and evidence

What is collected, published and kept.

  • The badge is served live; a cached copy would be a snapshot of a claim, not the claim.
  • Nothing about the visitor is collected by resolving a badge link from this site.

Boundaries

The claims stop here.

  • A badge is a route to current proof, not a safety, quality, approval or certification mark.
  • The badge shows what the record says now; it never vouches for the person looking at it.

Integrations and questions

Works with what you already run.

  • Any web page or document that accepts an image and a link.
  • Print and presentation material, through the QR code.
Is it safe to print the QR code on a device?
It resolves the public record, which never carries a raw serial number, MAC address or location. It is a route to proof, not a credential: it is never the device's key material and cannot be used to authenticate as the device.
Is the badge a certification?
No. It is a route to current proof. The record behind it is what a reader should check.
Can I see a live example?
Yes — the EcoCitizenz Business Passport badge in the footer of every page on this site.
